History
Two-Rock was founded around 1999 in Northern California with a focus on hand-built, point-to-point-wired tube amplifiers designed to deliver exceptionally clean headroom, dynamic touch response, and a full, three-dimensional tone that stays clear even when players stack multiple overdrive and boost pedals in front of it. That high-headroom, pedal-friendly design philosophy made Two-Rock a favorite among blues and blues-rock players who build their tone from the pedalboard up rather than relying on amp-channel distortion, most notably Joe Bonamassa, whose signature Two-Rock models — including the Bloomfield Drive, built around a vintage amp once owned by Mike Bloomfield — became central to the company's modern identity. Two-Rock remains a small-scale, hand-built operation, building amps largely to order rather than mass-producing them.
